This post is superlate because I couldn't figure out how to upload photos from an email. On March 18, 2011 I organised a Tinkle Mela at the St Mary's school, Koperkhairane, Navi Mumbai. The tinkle team was led by Rajini Thindiath(now editor of Tinkle), Archana Amberkar( Illustrator of Suppandi), Savio Mascarenhas(Illustrator of Shambu Shikari),Prachi Desai(Illustrator of Tantri Manthri ), and Abhijeet Kini(Illustrator of Butter Fingers). Thanks to the cooperation and support of the principal Mrs Asha Narayanan and the Tinkle team, the programme was a big success. The Tinkle Mela was spread over five days. Children were asked to read the magazine every day in school. Drawing, colouring and story writing competitions related to the Tinkle characters were conducted on the first five days. All the entries were pasted on the tiled walls of the school corridor. On the sixth day, children got to meet the Tinkle illustrators and attend their illustration workshops. A fancy
